Founders

Arundhuti Dasgupta

Author, editor and journalist, Arundhuti has over 20 years of experience in various writing and editing roles in several Indian financial publications. She has worked in different roles in media where she has been engaged with the commissioning, editing and writing of articles on a range of subjects. She was a columnist and Associate Editor with Business Standard where she wrote a fortnightly column called Mythic Mantra on the intersection of culture, business and politics. She has co-authored two books, published by Penguin and Puffin India. She has an MA in Economics from Delhi University and a Diploma in Comparative Mythology from the University of Mumbai.

Utkarsh Patel

He teaches comparative mythology at the University of Mumbai and conducts workshops and lectures on the subject, both online and at local venues. He is also called upon regularly to be a part of panels that discuss mythologies of the world, epics and many aspects of Indian mythology and folklore. Utkarsh is an author and TEDx speaker where he has spoken on: Mythology and Feminism: A Case for Subaltern Narratives and Management and Mythology. His books include Shakuntala: The Woman Wronged, Satyavati and Kannaki’s Anklet: An Epic from the South of the Vindhyas, Indra - The Rise and Fall Indra - The Rise and Fall of a Hero and Silencing Draupadi
